Hello,
I am a fairly casual Eve player for a few years now, and I just read about your amazing heist from "Titans 4 you". First of all let me say congratulations, just amazing stuff.
And secondly I would love to know a bit of the inside story; did you plan on creating the additional 600 shares or was that just serendipity?
Did you build all the Titans for Pandemic Legion?
Did you ever feel like "Oh, I don't know if I can do this!" Did your hands shake when you logged in and saw the new shares?
Do you still have the whole 1000 shares?
Did the game get boring after all was said and done? I mean what the heck could you do to top that!
Anyway, thanks for your time.

why not send him a mail with those questions

Well because I thought the opportunity to salt up some old wounds might make for better material. And this way I not only get his signature, I get yours as well, and .02 ISK to boot!

Vera Algaert is a relatively new alt of a player knowledgeable enough to put many on MD to shame. Vera is also very angry about CCP Screegs and his refusal to make private information available to the public.
Vera was also the first person to respond to this thread.
Are there any other data points?

The Thread is a monster, but a great read, I'm working through it now. It is also interesting to come back after some time and look at things again in a different light and venue.
That adventure is one of the most telling stories in Eve; it is about human nature and luck and guts and really the truth of the world in a way. There's a lot more parallel's between the story of T4U and RL, than FiS combat and RL at any rate.
So thanks again for revisiting an interesting topic and for being so candid about your role and how you felt during the event, its a great study on the human condition.

Its a game Ji, like chess or poker or tic tac toe, someone wins and someone doesn't. I guess Eve is different in that the rules are less clear. But honestly it is a game about having other players there to take advantage of mistakes, that is what makes it challenging. BB played his part well, nothing less.
And the funny thing is you can trust him just as much now as you could before.

Bob talked pretty openly about how things happened. It sounds like some of the other people here were actually affected by his actions. I didn't expect that, it was long enough ago that I thought it would all be water under the bridge. Can anyone speak openly about what it was like to be on the other side during the few days it took to secure the BPO's?
I received one of the shares from T4U, there were 108000 created. Was that done after the fact? Were those full voting shares or just investment markers?

Oh I see, the 108000 were the investment shares. The actually shares that controlled the BPO's were different.

Yes, I just googled it. I still don't know what you are on about. Are you saying that Bob is a pathetic sycophant? Or that I am? Or that I am Bob, Verra, and that other guy all wrapped up as one person? And that the thread is a pathetic sycophant?
Posting words like "pathetic" and "sycophant" without context is just silly. I'm n...oh you just posted again, sec.

whats funny though, looks like ppl still trust bb blinded by his portrait and his posting, his portrait mostly.
at the end of the day the guy chose the easiest path like water, doesn't make him any better than the guy in jita who scammed a plex out of flakeys. wasn't planned, opportunistic cash grab. albeit a huge cash grab.
guys like cosmoray are the ones u want to check out & get autographs from, although he never stopped playing or posting. That's better. Many mistakes in Eve are made by people who feel a need to act but don't know what to do.
I honestly just heard about this and wanted to get a current take on the situation. I'm not looking for tears or drama, just some insights into the story.
As for Bob being in the right place at the right time, you bet, that is actually the greater part of genius. I don't say this to win favor with Bob, it's just a truism that I have observed in life. I comment on it in case I am wrong, so that people who may have better understanding may correct me.
Trust is a funny thing in Eve, it has a huge potential return. I trust people all the time and have made more ISK that way than I have lost. But there is a certain point where the risk outweighs the convenience. There is no spreadsheet that can pin point that value, but Eve as a great computation machine may come close.

Jerry T Pepridge wrote: Do you plan to start you own scam soon or something, whats with the fascination?
Guess how many of the current bonds are scams
Its just an interesting story that I stumbled into.
I'm going to guess that they are all scams, even if the people offering them don't know it. Eve just doesn't have the contractual tools to create anything else. The very fact that "bond offerings" continue to exist in Eve is indicative of a player base that is living in a fantasy...hey wait a minute!
